Over the next three years, I am planning to work more on sharing my experiences with others through presenting at conferences and possibly publishing papers. I am part of a team that will be presenting at the Transform MedEd conference in November 2021 (postponed from March 2020) and the AMEE (Association for Medical Education in Europe) virtual conference in September 2020. I am also a member of the ALT 2020 conference committee (now postponed until 2021).
As mentioned in the Summary section, my role at Imperial College has evolved and I am now involved in a more strategic task of designing processes and frameworks for digital learning design and support as Learning Design Lead. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities this role will bring. In this role, I would like to develop my skills in process and stakeholders management.
I remain involved in more day-to-day instructional design too, and I am planning to continue keeping up to date with new tools and platforms for content delivery, especially in the light of the widespread move towards remote teaching. This is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field, but we are only starting to understand the impact of the Covid-19 lockdowns on education worldwide and the related challenges going forward.
